![]() A friend posted this (lightly edited): '...my kids went to family down in Tennessee on Wednesday, guess who came home sick?!? We have 2 positives and another sick, no point in testing 3rd because it is obvious. So here i am walking around my own house with a mask on, 91% alcohol spray in my hand/pocket having to sanitize everything anyone touches. Why I have a mask on is because I am the doctor that runs this hospital and I have to stay well, so I keep the house sanitized multiple times a day, take food to rooms, refill drinks a million times a day. I have so much to do and now I have to do my things along with make sure no one crosses paths in the house. My husband is out of work for 10 or more days (that will hurt later). I have to watch my oldest child Iike a hawk. Because he has asthma, the common cold puts him down, and he gets scared because he can't breath...I have to worry and stress to make sure he and everyone else will be okay. Constantly checking on everyone, making sure they are not feeling worse. Continued stress and anxiety from every aspect of them being sick. All because everyone else wants to play guilt trip card on me and say how they don't see the kids as much. No one ever looks at how it effects anyone but them. They do not see a child has anxiety and has a huge fear of dying. They won't see the stressing out he will do if he gets worse, but I will. I will be here to comfort him and assure him of life. No one sees how I run around like a chicken with my head cut off. Nope, no one sees all that. They don't see the runny noses, the hot baths being made, the medication needed every so many times. They don't see how much it is to care for an entire family with different needs and wants, and only being one person to do it. ...' This is what it's like in a home with COVID. We can only hope that the mom doesn't get sick. The disease is real, folks. Take it seriously, dammit!

![]() Navarro Report - a 36-page rehash of election fraud claims. This report is full of bogus claims of voter fraud. it's interesting to read the whole report, which I did, and do a deep dive into the endnotes, which I also did. I found multitudinous affidavit referenced with no link to most of them so it's impossible to trace them. I also found references to highly biased articles in pro-Trump publications, The report points out a votes-for-raffle-tickets scheme supposedly run by Native American pro-Biden organizations. This would be questionable because of 18 U.S. Code § 597 Expenditures to influence voting which prohibits offering money or gifts in exchange for voting especially for voting for a specific candidate. But the raffles were all geared toward to get-out-the-vote pushes rather than "vote of Biden or Trump" schemes, so the courts have not seen fit to act on the lawsuit's allegations. In another example of the report's bad information, it quotes Jesse Morgan, a subcontractor truck driver for the USPS, who alleges that he hauled almost 300,000 ballots the he alleged were fraudulent because they had out-of-state return addresses on them. Of course, that not that unusual - states always have ballots from out-of-state residents hauled to vote counting centers. He also claims that after he parked his rig the trailer "disappeared." Morgan is a former ghost-hunter - he's moved out of two homes because he was certain they were haunted. He has since recanted all of his election fraud claims.1 Included in this report are dead links to stories in pro-Trump publications. That's not all that suspicious. Writers get links wrong and publications withdraw articles. Also included are uncorroborated critiques of election fraud debunking studies. On the whole this "report" rehashes the claims in Trumps tweets without saying much else. No surprises. It’s a nice thought and I always reciprocate in kind through my mask. BUT… Like it or not, there are several cultural/religious celebrations around that time. No surprise. It's winter in the northern hemisphere. A festival of any kind breaks up the monotony of cold, gloomy days and long nights. Most Americans know this and enjoy seeing the different traditions for celebrating different holidays. Hanukkah begins at sunset on December 10th in 2020. Christmas tree lights and Hanukkah candles are pretty, the principles behind Kwanzaa are ones to which we should all aspire – look ’em up . And Christmas music is enjoyable, well… until you’ve heard the same song 7 times a day for two months. So, wishing people a happy time, no matter which holiday they celebrate, is just more ACCURATE. It’s not a matter of being “politically correct” (I f***ing HATE that term! It basically means “I don’t give a sh*t about your feelings! My feelings and beliefs are more important than yours!”) “Happy Holidays” is just FACTUALLY CORRECT! |
